KP Volleyball Newsletter
KP Newsletter by Alexander Schinzing
In September of 2024 our foundation was able to give out six scholarships. The Kevin Pratte Foundations mission is to help raise funds to award high school boys’ volleyball players to help pay for their club fees. Our board members include the Founder and President Kevin Pratte, Francie Pratte and Brian Adamson. The winners this year were Max Kuhn, John Howard III, Marty O’Brian, Curtis Fowler and Ysny. Over 100 athletes applied for a scholarship. The players listed above demonstrated in their application that they were scholars in the classroom, were actively involved in the community to make a difference, had a goal to play college volleyball and were committed to volunteering with our foundation in years to come. To enter in August of 2025 please visit our website. Each applicant will have to send in film of them playing volleyball, send in their transcripts and write an essay on why they feel they are worthy to win the scholarship. How to give to the Kevin Pratte Foundation: Please consider visiting our website to sign up for monthly contributions. Every little bit helps and allows us to give scholarships to help athletes play club volleyball. Also, KP helps the scholarship winners earn spots on college volleyball programs. We already have a lot of success stories. KP HERE Podcast On Spotify: Check out the KP HERE Podcast on Spotify. KP sits down with athletes and coaches to discuss various volleyball topics. It is excellent for recruits to get an idea of how specific college coaches run their programs! Middle Hitter Looking For Contributors: Tired of boys’ volleyball not getting covered? Submit an article to kevinpratte6@gmail.com and provide information about a tournament, match or team. Our team will look over the article and post it on the middle hitter website. Let’s truly grow the game and get more exposure to our wonderful sport! KP’S Player Of The Week And Club/High School Of The Week Makes A Comeback KP will highlight a club or high school player each week on his @kprecruiter Instagram account. Also, a club or high school will be featured on the same Instagram account. Kevin Pratte Foundation Board Members Attend The January SOCAL Tournament: The Kevin Pratte Foundation board members had an opportunity to go to Los Angeles to watch athletes who won the 2024 scholarships and check out athletes who attended KP’s 2024 camp. They enjoyed connecting with directors, coaches, athletes, friends, and families. Middle Hitter is only ranking boys’ volleyball players in high school. To get ranked the following criteria has to take place: 1.) The athlete has to submit a film to KP. 2.) KP has coaches nationwide to whom he submits this film to and gets their rankings. An athlete can take up to a week or two to get ranked. 3.) The athlete will not get ranked if one of the coaches on the panel has not seen that player live. 4.) If you are a KP recruiting client, a former client, or played for him, he will not be part of the voting process. The other coaches will vote. 5.) We average out the rankings. The athlete has to receive higher than a .75 to round up. For example, a 3.74 ranking would be rounded down to a 3. 6.) Athletes’ star rankings can improve throughout their club and high school playing career. KP’S Camps Have Been Announced: KP is hitting the road to run volleyball camps. Check out the middle hitter website to sign up for camps. It is a great way for high school athletes to be coached by excellent college coaches.
